Prospective Grantees

Lyndhurst awards grants to nonprofit organizations in four priority program areas: Access and Equity; Arts and Culture; Conservation, Parks, and Recreation; and Urban Design and Development. Our staff members cultivate long-term relationships with people, organizations, and communities within the foundation’s declared areas of interest, which can lead to an invitation to apply for a grant. We recognize that nonprofits have limited time, and few unsolicited letters of inquiry or proposals have historically led to a grant. Given these realities, we do not accept unsolicited letters of inquiry or proposals. From time to time, we issue requests for proposals for special initiatives.
